Signs of Spring + a Peek Into February
I hope you’ve been having a lovely winter so far. February always feels so hopeful to me, as we start to see migratory birds returning (I’m so happy to have robins back in my yard this month!) and first signs of spring flowers on their way.
Meet the February 2026 Sticker: The Ouroboros Dachshund
This month’s sticker is an oldie but a goodie. I embroidered this little Ouroboros Dachshund way back in 2014, but I’d never released the design as anything other than an embroidery pattern. (You can see how I used long-and-short stitch to embroider his colorful ear at this tutorial post.)
I had planned to redraw this sweet pup digitally to turn him into a sticker, but I decided he looked perfectly charming as an embroidery and decided to keep him as is. I hope you’ll agree!
He’s inspired by the ancient Ouroboros symbol of a snake eating its own tail, but of course I had to give him a dash of cuteness to bring him into my whimsical world.
