I'd like to announce the winner of my giveaway, Sue, who you can check out at the adorable blog, La Femme Knitkita. (I sure do love a pun that involves both crafts and French!) Thank you all so much for entering!
And now, here are some Blythe eyes to add a little visual interest to this post.
This weekend, I took another section of the CPA exam. It didn't go as well as I would have hoped (although I did just find out I passed the first section I took—huzzah!), which has resulted in me feeling a bit downtrodden and exhausted since then. After work today, I just wanted to sit around and enjoy myself, so I put on some stand-up comedy to watch with a few friends.
The canine members of that group friends apparently got a little bored, but they were so darned cute sleeping that I stopped paying attention to the stand-up, too, and drew them instead. It made for a very relaxing time.
P.S.: You still have one more day to enter my giveaway.
I have wanted to create throw pillow covers for a while, but I was always hung up on the details. It's hard work sewing up those little pillow covers, and it's tough creating them by hand for a price that seems fair to both buyer and seller. And so I put the project on the back burner indefinitely.
Well, last week, I noticed that Society 6 has a new option for custom items: throw pillows. It's as though they read my mind. How convenient! I spent the day today perfecting all my pillows, which you can find right here.
I'm constantly blown away by the creativity of the handmade world these days. Technology has certainly made things much easier for artists in the past decade or so, and for that I'm very grateful.
P.S.: Don't forget to enter my giveaway!
I'd like to kick off the holiday season with a giveaway. Up for grabs is this sweet little original painting. Would you like to play along?
How to enter:
1. Visit my Society 6 shop and let me know which item is your favorite (or, alternatively, let me know what sorts of items and illustrations you'd like to see in my shop).
2. Leave a comment on this post by midnight PST on Tuesday, December 4. Make sure to leave a way for me to contact you if you win.
3. You can earn one extra entry by posting about this giveaway on your blog, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Just leave a separate comment with the link for each place you mention the giveaway.
Note: Limit of four entries total per person.
Thanks so much for participating, and good luck!
So, this isn't one of the dresses I showed you a little while ago, but it is one that I've had in my head for a long time. As usual, it's so satisfying to finally see the finished product of a design that has existed solely in my mind for so long. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
This is also the first time I've used my new camera to take pictures of my dolls, and I am already smitten. I'm hoping for either a spot of nice weather or a miraculously clean apartment to take a few more photos soon. We'll see which of those happens first.
And, of course, if you're interested, you can find it in my shop.
We're having a Cyber Monday sale at Kitschy Digitals. You can get 30% off all your digital needs all day. Be sure to check out all the great holiday-themed items from the Kitschy Digitals designers. There's a ton of fun stuff to see.
Yesterday, if you guessed that the next holiday I'd make cards for is Adorable Kitty Day, you'd be correct! I suppose these cards would work well for other seasonal upcoming holidays as well, but I'll leave that to you.
Lydia's very excited for Adorable Kitty Day. She's been practicing night and day.
I am very excited to show off my latest digital product: greeting cards! I absolutely love creating new greeting cards, but printing them and selling them online can be somewhat troublesome. Because of this, I stopped making any new cards for about a year. (Sob!)
Fast forward to now, when I realized that there was a great way for me to fulfill my need to make cards and easily share them with others. These cards are available at Kitschy Digitals as a downloadable printable. All you have to do is choose the right size for your needs, print it out on card stock, and send it to your loved ones.
My first design is a thank you card, to celebrate Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I'll unveil my next designs which are for another upcoming holiday. Can you guess which one?
To all my American readers (and those abroad that love an excuse to feast with family as much as I do), enjoy the holiday!
